PANEL ONE: KARIS, wearing a yellow hardhat, greets the audience. In the background is a green space – what will eventually become the playground.

KARIS:
Hi! I’m Karis! (rhymes with Paris).

PANEL TWO: KARIS holds up a hammer. Behind him, Josh and Jon, wearing hardhats, carry an “UNDER CONSTRUCTION sign as they walk to the right side of the panel.

KARIS:
We’re renovating the playground to make it bigger and better!

PANEL THREE: KARIS points at CRAIG and BIG MIKE who are wearing hardhats and carrying some big heavy thing like a park bench.

KARIS:
Soon you’ll be able to meet all the characters you’ve gotten to know in my comics–

PANEL FOUR: RAUL and CHECKER, both wearing hardhats, wave to the audience on their way by. Raul is quietly smiling, Checker looks more sassy and engaged.

KARIS:
–and some new friends as well! Hi Raul! Hi Checker!

RAUL:
Hey.

CHECKER:
‘Sup?

PANEL FIVE: KARIS has a shovel in his hand now and is pointing to his hardhat.

KARIS:
So get your hardhat on, and grab a shovel–

PANEL SIX: KARIS is standing under a gate above which reads “KARIS’ PLAYGROUND” as if it were a fancy public park. Behind him, silhouettes are working, digging, wielding hammers, anything that implies activity.

KARIS:
–’cuz soon enough we’ll all be meeting on the playground!
