Then came the hard part: telling my Mom what I did. I decided to just be as honest as I could.

DAVE:
Hey mom? I, uh, I peed my bed.

MOM:
Oh Davey. Again?

Again? I hadn’t peed my bed for years! But she was reacting like it was last week!

(feels his forehead)
You don’t feel warm. I guess it’s just another accident.

DAVE (narr):
“Just another accident?” You’d think I was already a bedwetter…!

But then I realized I should shut up and accept it, it would just make things easier. Besides, there was something about the way she treated me as she ushered me into the shower that made me feel little…

...and yeah, I’ll admit that made me feel good.
