PANEL ONE: Eddie is now dressed and has a shopping list on his smart phone, and is standing inside a big department store.
Eddie:
That afternoon, I went shopping. I needed to buy some things to make my story more authentic.
PANEL TWO: Eddie is standing next to a rack of plastic pants just like Dylan’s, and he is holding a pair of them against his own body to look at the size. They are the proper size for him.
Eddie:
For one, I needed my own plastic pants in my size.
PANEL THREE: Eddie is now holding up a shiny, rubber bedsheet for his bed, looking down at it as he holds it against himself.
Eddie:
Naturally, a bedwetter would have a rubber sheet on his bed!
PANEL FOUR: Eddie holds up a big package of adult disposable diapers, with a smiling teenager’s face on it. He is considering them.
Eddie:
And of course, I’d need diapers. Disposables were more common…
PANEL FIVE: Eddie runs his hand over a stack of thick CLOTH diapers on a nearby shelf.
Eddie:
But HE wears cloth diapers, so I’M gonna wear cloth diapers.
PANEL SIX: Close up on Eddie as he inspects two large diaper pins, large enough to hold his own diapers on, and smiles. The two diaper pins represent his future.
Eddie:
And cloth diapers...need big, babyish diaper pins.
