PANEL ONE: PAUL grins a daring, taunting grin.
NARR:
His grin got even wider, like he was daring me to say something. But I didn’t. I didn’t even know what I could say.
PANEL TWO: MARK slinks away out the front door, in which doorway PAUL and his girlfriend, arms around each other, stand, with PAUL waving goodbye.

PANEL THREE: The laundry room. MARK is taking clothes out of the dryer and putting them in a laundry basket when PAUL enters.
NARR:
The turning point came the next day, when I was down in the laundry room and Paul walked in and said “hi.”
PANEL FOUR: PAUL chats with MARK, seemingly innocent.
PANEL FIVE: PAUL locks eyes with MARK and grins his sly grin.
NARR: He was just chatting about the game, and about life in general, when suddenly his eyes met mine and he grinned that sly little smile…
PANEL SIX: PAUL wets his pants while talking as if he’s unaware that it’s happening.
NARR:
…and started wetting his pants while he was talking to me. He kept right on talking while it was happening, like he didn’t notice it.
